ACE Motorsports Racing at 2595 Fortune Way, Vista, California.

It is ashame to have to have to write this for a shop that seems to have a wealth of knowledge and offer a wide variety of services, especially for High End Performance Vehicles BUT unfortunately my experience did not go well.

I called a total of 5 times over 4 days, left 2 messages, and still 4 days after trying to make contact for the final time I still have not even received even a phone call back. I also went to the shop twice since it is near my place of work, the only employee working was a guy named Cody. Cody was very genuine, down to earth, and most importantly knowledgable on vehicles. He is NOT the owner though and told me to reach out to the Owner to make an appointment to have my car inspected and fixed. The peeve here is when I saw Cody on Thursday(2nd personal visit to shop) he mentioned that the Owner was in on Wednesday, I had been trying to contact since Tuesday.

I understand it is a small business and a lot of responsiblity falls to few hands which can create an overwhelming situation. Regardless of what personal stuff the Owner may be going through, it is unprofessional to not even return a phonecall and say ‘Sorry, we can’t work on your vehicle at this time’. Something as simple as that and I wouldn’t even be leaving this negative review. I feel outright ignored as the customer, hell Cody even took my information down by hand to pass off to the owner and that seemed to do nothing. Makes me really wonder about the communication around here.

Though my car is a heavily modded 2007 Mustang GT, I have made it daily driver friendly last 2 years as that is what life has called for, I clearly communicated this and that I really need it looked at and fixed(detonation/ignition issues, which is serious as far as damaging internal parts in the engine). They did NOT have many cars sitting around the shop, the fact a somewhat urgent matter couldn’t be taken more seriously is ashame. I was told that the work ahead of the employee on Thursday was detailing 2 vehicles. Thats it?

Ill stop there, just an aggravated customer because you really want educated minds working on these modded vehicles, not your everyday repair shop.

2 stars just because Cody tried within his power to assist me in anyway he could, I could tell he personally wouldn’t have had an issue looking at the car but understandably that is not his call to make and he was very professional in that manner and in general. He would be a guy I want working on my vehicle, but unfortunately a full 5 star rating isn’t based off how good 1 aspect of the business may be.
